Fuel Economy Survey
The Outboard Exchange is introducing a Fuel Economy Survey that is
designed to save you up to 25% on of your fuel consumption. We have
found that 92 % of our customers over the pasted 15 years had either
set-up (rigged improperly wrong prop) or they engine problems
outboards that prevents them for get optimum fuel economy.
Additionally, these engine problems can cause future engine failures. Over the years we have developed a survey that:
1. Prevents future costly engine repairs by checking compression and spark, along with approximately 40 other items.
2. Saves fuel by improving your outboards efficiency.
This on site inspection and sea trial Includes:
Fuel scan running inspection of fuel burned per hour.
Compression test
Ignition timing
Outboard set-up (motor height and toe in)
Prop selection
Spark plug inspection and replacement (if needed)
Min planning speed
Tips on fuel saving running tips (what rpms are the most efficient)
Proper use of trim tabs.
Recommended changes and an estimate on fuel savings
A written estimate on the cost of changes that need to be made
note:This service does not include the cost of a new prop or props if we recommend this.
